Cairns Water 'Water Whys' Mobile Display
A complete display solution for mobile “WaterWhys” education.
Client: Cairns Regional Council
Category: Mobile Display
Date: March 2018
An educational Water Education Truck (WET), custom made for the Waste & Water team at Cairns Regional Council based on their original vision. The WET, is colourful and easy to recognise out and about with the vivid full graphic wrap, utilising characters already familiar in their community.
An extendable awning provides shade at public events and stairs provide access to the van’s interior, fitted with multiple interactive educational elements. We used multiple educational interactives in the ‘WaterWhys’ van, which travels to various schools and community events in the region.
Purpose
The Water Education Truck’s purpose is to helps water conservation messages connect with more audiences. The truck allows members of the public to learn more about water conservation and ultimately change their water usage habits long term. The aim is to ENGAGE visitors to get their attention, get them to comprehend WHY water conservation is so important and then learn about HOW to conserve this precious resource and finally be empowered to ACT on this knowledge for the benefit of the entire community.
Cairns Regional Council utilises the Water Whys Van at various community events in the area and Council launched the unit on World Water Day.
